Job Description
Join Rockwell Automation and help us make a impact for leading life science customers with our manufacturing and IoT software products. As MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management) Consultant You will analyze pharmaceutical processes and creating reliable solutions that meet our customers' needs. You'll work with our MES/MOM software products—mainly Factory Talk PharmaSuite®, and other Industry 4.0 relevant software components. Our team approach is bringing individuals together that seek a diverse and inclusive workplace doing great work together. You will report to the Functional Consulting Team Lead and work in a hybrid work model near our offices in Karlsruhe or Munich, Germany.
Your Responsibilities:
- You serve as the primary contact for functional topics with customers, working with project/quality management, engineering and IT
- Perform detailed process analysis, system design, and configuration activities
- Develop pilot use cases and present proof of concepts to customers
- Perform fit-gap analysis and showcase functional aspects for commercial proposals
- Consult and educate customer peers on our solutions, process improvement and best practices
- Create solution/process designs and convert them into functional specifications for development, validation, and maintenance
- Implement technology-enabled business solutions as part of a high-talent team engaged in full-cycle MES implementation projects
- Build partnerships with customer counterparts at a functional level
- Guide less experienced peers, customers and contractors on project assignments
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering, computer science, information systems, physics/chemistry/biology/pharma or comparable disciplin.
- 2+ years of professional experience in a consulting, customer-facing role ideally in the manufacturing digitalization or Life Science space, engineering, maintenance or support role
- Passion for digitalization, manufacturing operations, or advanced life science processes
- Interest in working in an international, multicultural environment
- Excellent English and German language skills (verbal and written)
- Willingness to travel (approximately up to 20% of the time)
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Experience with FactoryTalk PharmaSuite®, PAS-X, Opcenter, or other MES applications
- 1+ years of professional functional/technical experience related to software development and systems design and deployment
- Understanding of MES domain knowledge
- Background within the Life sciences/Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Medical Devices industries
- Knowledge in software configuration, validated software implementation (GxP and GAMP)
- Knowledge of automation systems and ERP
- Additional language skills are an asset
