JOB SUMMARY
The Molecular Genetics Technologist II conducts high-complexity molecular tests in the diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform clinical testing following CAP, NY, and CLIA regulations.
- Troubleshoot assay performance and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Conduct quality control (QC) checks and report deviations promptly.
- Manage laboratory stock levels and replenish supplies. Assist in training new employees as required.
- Execute other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or medical technology.
- Experience:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 0-2 years.
Preferred: MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP).
