Molding Operations Administrator


Overview

US Conec is seeking a detail-oriented Molding Operations Administrator to join our Molding Operations Team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining accurate documentation related to molding production processes. This includes standard operating procedures, work instructions, equipment setup sheets, quality records, change control documents, and technical specifications. The role ensures all documents are controlled, up to date, accessible, and compliant with company standards and industry regulations.


Responsibilities

Document Control:

  • Maintain the document control system for molding operations, ensuring accurate filing, naming, version control, and access control.
  • Create, update, revise, and archive production documents such as:
    • Work instructions
    • Molding setup sheets
  • Ensure all documents meet company formatting standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Distribute updated documents to appropriate departments and remove outdated versions from production areas.
  • Communicate changes or new information on any written documentation along with the approval process to ensure all personnel are aware of changes that will affect them.

Collaboration & Process Improvement:

  • Work closely with Production and IT teams to capture updates and changes related to molding operations.
  • Supports molding operations process change notifications (PCNs)
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement in document workflows and systems.

System Support & Maintenance:

  • Manage company’s electronic document control systems
  • Maintain document lifecycle tracking, including approval routing and revision history.
  • Maintain safety stock for Molding Operations consumables and track any items needed for ordering.
  • Supports scheduling any needed trainings or meetings to notify employees on system, document updates.

Training & Communication:

  • Support training coordination by maintaining accurate training documentation and records.
  • Supports with initial document training for new hires by assigning training curriculums and ensuring their log in to the internal system is functioning.
  • Supports new hire training by providing the hands-on training agenda and provides new hire with the needed tools/equipment.
  • Notify relevant personnel of document changes and assist in training staff on document control procedures.
  • Perform routine audits to ensure all molding operations employees are up to date on their required training curriculum in the internal system.
  • Creates plan to assist Molding Operations employees to complete training curriculums.
  • Assist with creating visual aids, production instructions, and laminated floor documentation where applicable

Must Haves

  • Strong organization and communication skills with internal customers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Detail oriented with the ability to adapt to changes quickly.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of molding operations or willingness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive documentation with discretion
