MOF-Package Consultant-SAP HANA Basis

The SAP HANA Basis Consultant will be responsible for managing SAP Basis administration, SAP S/4HANA upgrades, system architecture, technical operations, and platform optimization. This role requires a hands-on consultant with strong expertise in SAP Basis, SAP HANA administration, system lifecycle management, high availability, disaster recovery, and SAP technical upgrade projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with Basis, Infrastructure, Security, Development, Functional, and Business teams to ensure the stability, security, and availability of SAP landscapes while supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, and post-go-live operations.

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain SAP landscapes across development, quality assurance, and production environments.
• Plan and execute SAP S/4HANA version upgrades, Feature Package Stack (FPS), and Support Package Stack (SPS) implementations.
• Perform end-to-end upgrade activities, including assessment, planning, execution, cutover, hypercare, and post-go-live support.
• Conduct SAP Maintenance Planner activities and prepare upgrade strategies and technical roadmaps.
• Execute upgrade procedures using SAP Software Update Manager (SUM) and Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM).
• Perform SAP kernel upgrades, HANA database revisions, and operating system compatibility validation.
• Support SAP system installation, client copies, refreshes, transports, patching, and technical maintenance.
• Design and implement High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), backup, recovery, and system replication solutions.
• Manage SAP system monitoring, performance tuning, capacity planning, and technical optimization.
• Support SAP Fiori, SAP Gateway, embedded analytics, BW/4HANA, SAP Process Orchestration (PO), and SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) environments.
• Perform impact assessments for custom developments, interfaces, integrations, and SAP release dependencies.
• Coordinate upgrade and maintenance activities with Infrastructure, Security, Development, Functional, and Business teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP Basis, upgrade, performance, authorization, and integration issues.
• Develop technical documentation, upgrade runbooks, rollback procedures, and operational standards.
• Define user roles, support user administration activities, and ensure compliance with SAP security standards and governance.
• Ensure system stability, security, compliance, and business continuity across the SAP landscape.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• SAP Technology certifications are highly preferred.
• 7+ years of hands-on SAP Basis administration experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as an SAP Basis Consultant.
• Proven experience in at least one end-to-end SAP implementation and multiple SAP S/4HANA upgrade projects.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA technical upgrades, system conversions, and landscape management.

• 7+ years of SAP Basis administration experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as an SAP Basis Consultant.
• Proven experience performing SAP S/4HANA version upgrades, FPS/SPS implementations, and technical maintenance projects.
• Strong expertise in SAP Software Update Manager (SUM), Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM), and SAP Maintenance Planner.
• Strong knowledge of SAP system architecture, SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA administration, and SAP landscape management.
• Strong experience with SAP kernel upgrades, SAP release management, and HANA database administration.
• Experience designing High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), backup, recovery, and system replication solutions.
• Experience with SAP Security concepts, user administration, authorizations, SAP SSO, and security best practices.
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager, ChaRM, ITSM processes, and technical operations.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems in enterprise SAP environments.
• Experience supporting SAP Fiori Front-End Server, SAP Gateway, BW/4HANA, SAP PO, and SAP BusinessObjects environments.
• Strong experience in SAP performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
• Knowledge of SAP Readiness Check, Simplification Item Checks, and Upgrade Dependency Analyzer.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
• Advanced English communication skills (written and spoken).

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA system conversions and landscape transformation projects.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Hub-to-Standalone conversion projects.
• Experience in enterprise-scale SAP environments with high availability requirements.
• Knowledge of automation and scripting for SAP Basis administration.
• Experience supporting cloud-based SAP environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP System Administration.
• SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience working in large enterprise or government digital transformation projects.
