DESCRIPTION 

An opportunity for a Modelling and Simulation System Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). 

The selected candidate will join the Modelling and Simulation Team

The team is in charge of defining, producing, validating and supporting Systems simulation products for Airbus internal and external customers matching the required safety, quality and performance levels according to Airbus systems engineering processes and the needs of our customers.

We are looking for a system engineer capable of building simulator subsystem models in real time with experience in Software development to complete those models. Be prepared to work in a highly motivated team, and work with actual simulators that we build and deliver for internal and external customers all over the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Design and program real-time software models simulating the dynamic behavior of the aircraft and its systems (navigation, avionics, radio, hydraulics, etc.) using C, C++, Python, or Ada in Linux environments.
  • Actively participate in all formal product development phases. 
  • Interface the developed software models with physical simulator hardware and components, performing end-to-end system integration testing and performance validation.

  • Ensure that delivered simulation products strictly comply with international safety, quality, and performance standards required by Airbus and defense industry regulations.

  • Education: Aeronautical, Telecommunication, Software or Industrial Engineering degree  or a related discipline.

  • Experience: At least 5 years of previous experience. 

  • Soft skills: High adaptability to work on new topics, new business and in a networking mode.

  • Languages: Advanced level in English.

  • Technical knowledge: programming in C, C++, Python, ADA, Linux, QT

  • Valuable / Nice to have: Case tools, GIT, SVN, CI/CD
