As a Modeling Development Engineer, you will be working with a team responsible for defining our organization's approach to integration and validation of software for microcontroller firmware and hardware models across a variety of technologies. This opportunity will leverage your technical knowledge of the silicon design lifecycle and modeling development practices.

As a Modeling Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Model design, implementation, integration, and validation.
Simulation and test infrastructure development.
Writing and debugging software across multiple layers of the software stack
Key Responsibilities:

• As an Modeling Engineer, you'll be an integral part of a dynamic team developing Simulation software models and tools for Intel's SoC designs.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers and architects to model future Intel IP, crafting virtual platforms for early software bring-up and robust validation environments.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
5+ years of industry experience in:

• firmware and/or silicon model development and/or validation in support of successfully deployed products.
• Familiarity with Git and CI tools: Git for source code management, and experience with CI/CD and automated software/hardware regression testing are highly advantageous.
• Software Proficiency: Strong background in object-oriented programming C Software Engineering practices

Preferred Qualifications: Please organize in a priority order.

• Software development in C, C++, Rust, Simics, Python and/or Domain Specific Language modeling.
• SystemC / TLM modelling - loosely, approximately and untimed models
• Experience in working with cross functional Platform, SoC, and/or IP teams including Architecture, Design, Firmware, and Validation in the development, validation or program management of high-volume production silicon or board-level products.
• Experience working with validation practices in different environments, simulation, emulation and virtual prototype.
• Solid understanding of processors, servers, system software architecture, and associated Power and Performance modelling techniques.
• Detailed SoC Architecture, SoC Subsystem Architecture, IP Architecture and/or Microarchitecture knowledge.
• Development experience with virtual platforms using Simics or Synopsys Virtualizer.
• Experience working with RDL/IPXact register definitions.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in Canada

CAD 120,650.00-170,330.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role
