Position title: Modeling and Simulation Specialist
Location: Fort Bragg (Fort Liberty), NC
Clearance required: SECRET
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Build, operate, and refine constructive and virtual 2D/3D terrain and simulation scenarios.
- Develop, customize, and maintain simulation environments to support mission training objectives.
- Assist in scenario authoring, terrain development, and system configuration to support training execution.
- Coordinate with training staff, technical teams, and military personnel to ensure scenario accuracy and realism.
- Associate; 4 years of related military experience may substitute.
- 2 years developing scenarios with Virtual Battle Space (VBS) 4.
- Familiarity building 3D terrain databases and entity objects.
- Experience with constructive/virtual computer simulations, video editing, and authoring modeling/simulation scenarios; Army Mission Command and/or LVCG systems; one object-oriented language such as Java, C++, or.NET; military operational concepts.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
- Self-initiative: ability to follow project schedules and meet completion dates; team collaboration.
Skills Required
- Associate degree (4 years related military experience may substitute)
- 2 years developing scenarios with Virtual Battle Space (VBS) 4
- Current Secret security clearance
- Familiarity building 3D terrain databases and entity objects
- Experience with constructive and virtual computer simulations
- Video editing experience
- Experience authoring modeling/simulation scenarios
- Experience with Army Mission Command and/or LVCG systems
- Proficiency in one object-oriented language such as Java, C++, or .NET
- Knowledge of military operational concepts
