Join Lonza as a MODA-ES Supervisor, where you will lead the MES Engineering team supporting electronic batch record (eBR) development and maintenance within the MODA-ES Manufacturing Execution System. What you will do
  • Lead and supervise the MES Engineering team, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management.

  • Drive MES-related projects and support the maintenance and enhancement of electronic batch records within the MODA-ES platform.

  • Develop team schedules, prioritize workloads, and proactively manage project timelines and deliverables.

  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, CAPEX, Global, and customer teams to ensure successful project execution.

  • Author, review, and close quality records, including deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.

  • Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting support, and guidance for MES applications and related systems.

  • Lead training initiatives for MES Engineers, Manufacturing personnel, and other key stakeholders.

What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • 5-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environments.

  • 5-10 years of experience supporting automation systems or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES); MODA-ES experience is preferred.

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.

  • Experience with quality systems, including deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions and levels of the organization.
