Technical Support and Capacity Building:

  • Support in training and capacity building materials development for mobilization teams to assure SMS and parents engagement in quality education improvement.
  • Work with local implementing partners to build the capacity of community mobilizers through delivery of ToT training and regular on-site support.
  • Work with local IP mobilization teams to establish and develop good mutual understanding, cooperation and sharing best practices between IRC, Local IPs, and the target communities.
  • Train and orient the local IP staff on the Social Audit training and support the local IP staff in conducting and documentation of the Social Audit sessions on the ground. 
  • Provide insight and suggestions to partners to improve quality of community mobilization in establishment and continuation of CBE classes.
  • Conduct regular visits to program sites to monitor community mobilization activities in coordination with local stakeholders to ensure proper implementation of the social mobilization interventions.
  • Support IRC and partners IM teams in activities documentation, data collection, and timely reporting to support meeting the program requirement.
  • Participate and monitor the SMS meeting and other activities related to SMS with partners and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Support the development of community mobilization toolkit for assessment.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the line supervisor.

Partners Capacity Building:

  • Will conduct a thorough assessment of the local partners' capacity, strengths, and areas for improvement. This assessment will help them to understand their organizational structure, resources, and mobilization strategies. Based on this assessment, this role will identify specific capacity-building needs and gaps that require attention.
  • Mobilization Officer will facilitate knowledge sharing and learning among local partners. This may involve organizing workshops, peer-to-peer learning sessions, or webinars where partners can exchange experiences, best practices, and lessons learned. By fostering a culture of learning and collaboration, this role will support partners in gaining new insights and adapting their approaches to community mobilization.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare field visit reports, training reports, and monthly technical progress reports.
  • Document achievements, lessons learned, challenges, and recommendations from field activities.
  • Maintain organized technical files, attendance records, monitoring tools, and training documentation.
  • Support data collection, verification, and reporting as required by the project.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safeguarding standards, and donor requirements.
  • Promote child protection, inclusion, and gender-sensitive approaches in all education activities.
  • Participate in relevant meetings, workshops, and capacity-building events.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Education Supervisor or Kabul Office in support of project objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, business administration, social science, Islamic studies, or any other relevant field with education experience of five years.
  • At least 2-3 years of related experience in community mobilization, conflict resolution and involvement of community and parents in community level activities, preferably with an international organization.
  • Proficient in Dari and Pashto language with good understanding and writing of English.
  • Have good communication and coordination skills both community and school level.
  • Ability to prepare and submit timely reports.
  • Ability to regularly travel to target schools and communities and effectively conduct and manage community level meetings.

Skills Required
