Android Mobile Engineer Intern at SpotHero: 

We are seeking motivated and talented individuals for our Summer Engineering Internship Program. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our engineering team on real projects that contribute to our company's goals. You will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and insights into the engineering processes within a growth-stage company.

 Mobile Squad at SpotHero: 

Our Mobile Team is pivotal in creating a seamless experience that connects drivers to the parking in their city. The team manages the feature creation, product support, and maintenance of both the iOS and Android SpotHero apps. The team consists of mobile and backend engineers, as well as product and design, with an emphasis on bringing every team member along each part of a feature journey from ideation to delivery. With millions of active users relying on our mobile apps, you’ll see your work take center stage in a rapidly growing industry.

What you will do: 

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineering, product, and design to design, develop, and test products.
• Participate in the full lifecycle of product development, from concept to deployment.
• Assist in the troubleshooting and debugging of technical issues.
• Engage in learning opportunities and professional development activities.

What you bring: 

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field, or a recent graduate.
• A foundation in engineering principles
• Basic proficiency in Android programming languages (Kotlin/Java) with experience in building mobile applications or experience with JVM applications.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation in Illinois:

• The internship will be paid at $25/hour
