Job Description

We’re looking for people who are interested in shaping the future of big media. We offer the opportunity to work with some of the finest development minds on the largest media sites in Canada, backed by a company that has been delivering content to its readers for more than a century.
What you'll do
- Strive to deliver responsive and useful mobile experiences; help secure our apps as the go to news content app at our customer’s finger tips
- Satisfy your passion for building intuitive and performant mobile experiences with your expertise in all modern mobile development technologies; you’ll not only help to ensure we adhere to industry best practices, but you will also help define our own standards
- Coordinate with team members to ensure project success
- Help the team identify and anticipate bottlenecks in application code and propose improvements
- Execute on organizational initiatives
Salary Range $90,000 to $102,000 (may vary based on technological expertise); bonus plan, full benefit package and defined benefit pension plan.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development
- 2+ years of mobile development experience
- Knowledge and experience with React Native and Node.js
- Native iOS and Android development an asset
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Proficiency with developer tools and debugging techniques
- Experience with Git and Atlassian tools
- Intermediate knowledge of CI/CD approaches and tools
