Summary/Objective
We are seeking an experienced Mobile App Developer to join our team, focusing on sustaining and maintenance projects for our mobile applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our existing mobile applications. This role requires an analytical mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and fixing issues before they impact our users.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Application Maintenance: Manage the ongoing maintenance of mobile applications, addressing bugs, performance issues, and compatibility updates.
- Troubleshooting & Debugging: Diagnose issues reported by users, stakeholders, or automated monitoring systems and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Optimization: Improve app performance, battery efficiency, and resource usage to enhance user experience on both Android and iOS platforms.
- Code Review & Refactoring: Regularly review code to identify opportunities for improvement, streamline processes, and ensure alignment with industry standards.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation on resolved issues, code changes, and maintenance processes for knowledge transfer and future reference.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, QA, and Support, to prioritize issues and deploy fixes with minimal disruption.
- Quality Assurance: Perform regression testing on code updates to maintain the integrity and quality of the app, minimizing the likelihood of introducing new issues.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Set up and utilize monitoring tools to detect app issues in real time, documenting trends, and reporting on app health to stakeholders.
- Compatibility & OS Updates: Ensure apps remain fully functional and compatible with the latest iOS and Android updates, implementing necessary changes as required.
Required Education and Experience
- 3+ years in mobile app development, with a focus on maintenance and sustaining projects.
- Proficient in Swift, Kotlin, and/or Java.
- Strong understanding of version control (Git)
- Expertise in using debugging tools and writing unit tests for mobile applications.
- Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving complex app issues.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Worked in regulated software development environment.
- Has worked on one or more commercial mobile applications.
- Experience with iOS and Android app that communicates to Bluetooth Low Energy devices.
- Stays updated with the latest mobile development trends, tools, and technologies.
Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, and scanners.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to be independently mobile. The employee is also required to interact with a computer, and communicate with co-workers.

Salary Range
$110,000 - $125,000
