Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) / Head of Sales to lead revenue growth across African markets for our smartphone financing business. The ideal candidate will be a techno-commercial leader with deep expertise in B2B partnerships, consumer distribution, digital sales, customer lifecycle management, and collections. This role will be responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth, expanding market presence, optimizing customer acquisition and retention, and building scalable operational processes across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities

Revenue & Growth

* Develop and execute the company's revenue strategy across all markets.
* Drive achievement of sales, profitability, and portfolio growth targets.
* Identify and launch new market opportunities and strategic partnerships.
B2B Sales & Partnerships

* Build and manage relationships with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), OEMs, distributors, fintechs, financial institutions, and strategic partners.
* Lead complex commercial negotiations and partnership development initiatives.
* Expand distribution channels to accelerate market penetration.
B2C Distribution & Digital Sales

* Design and scale both online and offline customer acquisition channels.
* Build country-specific distribution strategies to maximize customer reach and conversion.
* Optimize digital sales funnels and customer onboarding processes.
Customer Care & Retention

* Oversee customer experience, customer support, and retention programs.
* Implement customer-centric processes to improve satisfaction, loyalty, and lifetime value.
Collections & Portfolio Performance

* Lead collections and debt recovery strategies to maximize repayment performance.
* Develop data-driven approaches to reduce delinquency and improve portfolio quality.
* Ensure effective coordination between sales, operations, and collections teams.
Process & Team Leadership

* Build and lead high-performing commercial teams across multiple African markets.
* Establish scalable sales, customer service, and collections processes.
* Implement performance management frameworks, KPIs, reporting, and operational controls.
Requirements

* 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, revenue management, or commercial leadership roles.
* Proven experience in Africa, preferably across multiple countries.
* Strong track record of building and scaling B2B partnerships and B2C distribution networks.
* Experience in device financing, fintech, telecom, digital lending, consumer finance, or related sectors.
* Strong understanding of technology platforms, digital sales ecosystems, customer lifecycle management, and collections.
* Demonstrated success in building processes, teams, and revenue-generating operations from the ground up.
* Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.
* Ability to operate in fast-growing, multi-country environments and deliver measurable business results.
