Job Title - ML Platform Engineer
Location: Monterrey, Mexico
What you will do
The ML Platform Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Machine Learning platform that supports various AI initiatives at Johnson Controls. This includes collaborating with data scientists and engineers to streamline the deployment of machine learning models and ensuring a smooth integration of AI capabilities into existing products. You will leverage cloud technologies and frameworks to deliver scalable and efficient ML solutions.
How you will do it
- Design and implement robust ML pipelines for model training, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements and ensure alignment on AI initiatives.
- Optimize ML models for performance and scalability in cloud environments.
- Monitor model performance and implement enhancements as necessary.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in ML and AI.
What we look for
Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning, data engineering, or software development.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of ML algorithms and data structures.
Preferred
- Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark).
- Knowledge of MLOps practices and tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
