Digital Innovation Division (DID) is accountable for generating and executing integrated strategies, providing governance, and managing internal investments associated with four technical pillars that form the foundation of Aerospace's digital transformation.
As the Mission IT Software Portfolio Lead, you will report directly to the Principal Director for Mission IT in the Digital Innovation Division. You will lead the Mission IT Software Portfolio Management. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the Enterprise Technology Group and Enterprise IT team to implement and sustain the Mission IT.
Work Model: This position is a hybrid (3 days of in-office work )or remote work arrangement based at our Chantilly,VA, El Segundo, CA,Colorado Springs, CO, Albuquerque, NM, or Huntsville, AL location.
What You'll Be Doing

  • Support the development and implementation of a corporate Mission IT software strategy as part of an overall integrated Mission IT strategy.
  • Develop and execute implementation and sustainment plans in partnership with our customer and enterprise services organizations including service level agreements across IT resources.
  • Collect and coordinate current and emerging Mission IT software requirements from across the corporation's multiple networks and enclaves.
  • Establish a Mission IT software portfolio utilization tracking system and metrics to better inform requirements.
  • Support an annual consolidated Mission IT software portfolio budget request to including priorities and potential offsets/tradeoffs.
  • Explore various licensing models with vendors to better meet Aerospace needs and maximize ROI.
  • Work with a matrix team of Mission IT practitioners across finance, supply chain, EIS, and security to identify efficiencies and develop new corporate processes.
  • • Establish and lead a team of teams approach comprised of tool stewards, license server stewards, and SMEs for Mission IT COTS software applications utilized across the corporation.


What You Need to be Successful - Asset and Vendor Management Staff III
Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or other technical discipline.
  • 6 or more years' experience.
  • Experience and knowledge with cloud-based platforms and services (on premises, off premises, hybrid) and high-performance technical computing as part of classified networks and enclaves.
  • Experience with Aerospace security approval and software installation processes.
  • Experience with software portfolio requirements analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience leading by influence and through ambiguity to adjudicate competing priorities.
  • Position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.


In addition to the above, the Asset and Vendor Management Staff IV requires:

  • 10 or more years' experience.
  • Experience and knowledge with cloud-based platforms and services (on premises, off premises, hybrid) and high-performance technical computing as part of classified networks and enclaves.
  • Experience with Aerospace security approval and software installation processes.
  • Experience with software portfolio requirements analysis.
  • Experience and knowledge of engineering software and processes.
  • Experience and knowledge of Service Level Agreements and contract implementations.


How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • Master's degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant certifications in technical disciplines (e.g., computing and cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity) or project management disciplines (e.g., PMP, agile product owner or Scrum master).
  • Experience and knowledge with Aerospace supply chain and budget request processes.
  • Knowledge of commercial-off-the-shelf engineering analysis tools and applications, vendors, and licensing models
  • Current DoD TS and SSBI/SCI Clearance

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
