Position Overview:As the Regional Shovels and Drills Manager, you will be responsible for representing all commercial aspects with the customer and Finning to include a strategic approach through the development and implementation of business plans for growth, specific sales and marketing for all products and services.
Earning potential of $125,000 to $140,000+ which includes base plus bonus

Job Description:

Major Job Functions:

  • Maintain sound long term relationships with the customer base as well as Caterpillar and Finning.
  • Develop short (less than 2 years), medium (2-5 year) and long range (5-10 years) strategic plan with alignment to customer’s mine plans. These plans would including equipment and service forecasts, pricing, quality, estimates and market intelligence.
  • Develop and maintain effective client relationships to support the marketing and sales of equipment, products and services. Foster relationships at all levels with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Timely and effective research, communication and response to customer and Caterpillar issues.
  • Oversight of reporting and compliance on contractual obligations.
  • Achieve targets for revenue, profitability and asset management. Growing the market share of Caterpillar mining equipment within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain information data utilizing Finning Canada’s customer relationships management software.

Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of products and services related to the assigned industry
  • Knowledge of the mining industry
  • Mechanical knowledge would be considered beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of the Finning sales processes

Accountability:

  • Achieve targets for profitability, cost and asset management and financial performance of business.
  • Maintain sound long-term relationships with customers, Caterpillar, internal departments and staff.
  • Understand the customers’ economic models and proactively develop timely deal strategies.
  • Coaching and development of the MPSSRs, TSRs.
  • Achieve key performance indicators as assigned for the branch and or region (i.e. PINs, POPs, NPS)
  • Prepare accurate and timely equipment and service forecasts, pricing, quality, estimates and market intelligence, call reports and customer information.

Experience:

  • 8 to 10 years previous sales and product support experience within a similar industry
