Job Description
The Millwright position will be located in Midland, Michigan at the Dow Chemical Plant Head Quarters. This job will consist of installing, removing, testing and troubleshooting R&D equipment. This position will also be interacting and communicating on a periodic basis with research customers and scientists. The Millwright will be helping to design, test and provide results to help researchers make decisions on research processes and equipment designs for the labs and for field testing.
Detailed Description:
- Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Dismantles machinery, establishes best removal process or relocation procedure.
- Construct foundations for new machinery.
- Aligns machinery and equipment.
- Assembles machines, bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures.
- Reads blueprints and specifications to determine job requirements.
- Repairs and lubricates machine and equipment.
