A Millwright provides essential repairs and maintenance needed to River Valley Cooperatives equipment used in the agricultural setting, to ensure high safety standards and minimize time loss operating failures.
What You'll Do:
- Installing and assembling new machinery and equipment in accordance with blueprints, manuals, and specifications.
- Inspecting and troubleshooting machinery to identify any mechanical issues or malfunctions.
- Performing regular maintenance tasks, such as lubricating parts, replacing worn-out components, and adjusting machinery for optimal performance.
- Repairing or replacing faulty parts, such as bearings, gears, belts, and motors.
- Conducting preventive maintenance to ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely.
- Collaborating with other team members to diagnose complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Operating various hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment, to complete repair and maintenance tasks.
- Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
- Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
- Staying updated on industry trends and advancements in machinery technology.

- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver’s license
Working conditions:
May be exposed to dust, noise, heat, cold, ag chemicals, and vapors, and moving machinery. May be required to work long hours in season, as well as work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
