We are currently looking for a Mill Machinist to join the highly successful team at our Beaufort Rd, Swansea branch.
Experience isn’t essential for this role as full training will be given.
This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 7:30 – 17:00, and every other Saturday from 07:30-11:30.
What you’ll be doing:
- Operate and monitor timber-processing machinery safely and efficiently.
- Cut, plane, mould and machine timber to customer specifications.
- Set up machinery and make adjustments to achieve accurate dimensions and profiles.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.
- Identify and report machinery faults, defects or maintenance requirements.
- Carry out routine cleaning, maintenance and safety checks of machinery.
- Safely handle, stack and move timber and finished products.
- Follow all Health & Safety, environmental and site procedures.
- Complete production records, paperwork and relevant documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Work closely with colleagues to meet production targets and customer deadlines.
- Support the wider mill team with day-to-day operations as required.
