Roles and Responsibilities
- Drives units and/or system level functional performance to deliver customer solutions. Defines and conducts testing of equipment and/or entire systems, identifying the best testing strategy and measurement system. Reports performance with respect to the guaranteed values in accordance with industry codes and standards. Participates in the research, design, development, and enhancement of technologies in the areas of performance, operability, and cost optimization. Can include delivery of customer solutions that properly balance cost and benefit (including architecture, key design trade-offs, flow-down of requirements and flow-up of capability).
- Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.

- Developing engine test plans to verify safe engine operation limits
- Monitoring component and systems level tests to ensure the safety of the test vehicle
- Analyzing inlet distortion and developing hardware to simulate the impact on engine operation
- Coordinating with a cross-functional team of adjacent disciplines (aero, performance, systems) Executing the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements
- Ensuring proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
- Providing timely communications on significant issues or developments
- Participating in organizational efforts in assigned projects and / or tasks
- Participating as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited University or College.
- At least 8 additional years of experience in an engineering position
- This role requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship.
