Opportunity at a Glance
Join our team as a Military Processing Analyst where you will play a critical role in supporting student financial success, with a focus on military-affiliated students and VA education benefits. In this position, you will act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external agencies to manage non-Title IV (non-TIV) funding within student accounts.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering accurate, compliant, and responsive service—particularly in the areas of military student finance, VA benefits processing, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional and responsive support to internal customers and external agencies via email, phone, Salesforce, and web conferencing
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve student account balances and debt concerns, asking thoughtful and solution-oriented questions
- Accurately process Direct Bill, VA education benefits (GI Bill®), and accounts receivable transactions using appropriate systems
- Serve as a VA School Certifying Official (SCO) support resource, assisting with certification, enrollment reporting, and ongoing compliance with VA regulations
- Ensure compliance with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), and institutional military funding guidelines
- Support military student finance operations, including tuition assistance (TA), VA benefits, and third-party billing processes
- Maintain accurate and timely VA enrollment certifications, adjustments, and reporting in accordance with federal requirements
- Maintain a strong understanding of compliance requirements and regulatory standards, including Title IV and military education benefits
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to continuous organizational growth and change initiatives, particularly within military student finance workflows
- Demonstrate Covista values and remain open to coaching and constructive feedback to support professional development
- Complete required trainings and certifications to maintain access to vendor systems, federal agencies (including VA systems such as Enrollment Manager)
- Partner cross-functionally, applying knowledge of military benefits, federal regulations, finance, and higher education policies to resolve student account inquiries
- Actively engage in team meetings, special projects, and organizational initiatives
- Perform regular account reconciliation and proactive follow-up to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Meet established service level agreements (SLAs) and performance benchmarks
- Maintain an annual quality assurance accuracy rating of 95% or higher
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership
- Perform additional duties as assigned while maintaining adherence to all policies and standards
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience preferred, or equivalent related experience, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service
- Experience supporting Military Student Finance operations, including working with active-duty, veteran, and military-affiliated students preferred
- Familiarity with or experience in VA School Certification processes, including processing VA education benefits (GI Bill®) and maintaining compliance with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requirements preferred
- Knowledge of military regulations, Tuition Assistance (TA), and VA education benefits programs strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and analytical skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with higher education systems, accounts receivable processes, and student finance operations preferred
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, web-based applications, and database systems
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail
- Strong understanding of student finance terminology and best practices within Military Student Finance environments, enabling clear communication, effective process documentation, and continuous system optimization.
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $17.15 and $27.36. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
