Your day at NTT DATA
• Assist in the design, planning, and execution of migration strategies for moving on-premises applications, systems, and databases to AWS.
• Assist in the deployment and configuration of AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and CloudFormation for the migration project.
• Migrate data from on-premises databases to AWS databases using services like AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) and AWS Snowball.
• Work on infrastructure automation using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to ensure repeatability and consistency in deployments.

Role tile: Migration Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, planning, and execution of migration strategies for moving on-premises applications, systems, and databases to AWS.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and CloudFormation for the migration project.
- Migrate data from on-premises databases to AWS databases using services like AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) and AWS Snowball.
- Work on infrastructure automation using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to ensure repeatability and consistency in deployments.
- Provide support and troubleshooting during the migration process to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Document configurations, migration processes, and best practices for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Continuously monitor and report on the health of the migrated environment using Amazon CloudWatch and other monitoring tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation, and IAM.
- Experience with migration tools and services, such as AWS Migration Hub, AWS Server Migration Service (SMS), and AWS Database Migration Service (DMS).
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts in AWS, including VPC, security groups, route tables, and Direct Connect.
- Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and securing access to resources in AWS.
- Ability to work with cloud-native monitoring and logging services such as Amazon CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, and VPC Flow Logs.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, especially related to cloud migrations.
Required Certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
- AWS Certified Developer – Associate (Nice to have)
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate (Nice to have)
