Brillient is seeking a Mid-Level Contract Specialist to provide federal acquisition and contract administration support across the full procurement lifecycle. This role will support acquisition planning, solicitation development, contract administration, modifications, and closeout while working closely with Contracting Officers, CORs, and program stakeholders.
Location: 100% Remote. Candidates must reside in DC, Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Texas, or Virginia. Candidates located in the National Capital Region are preferred.
Salary Range: $95,000-$115,000 annually
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
- Support acquisition planning, market research, and preparation of procurement documentation
- Prepare and review Requests for Proposals, Requests for Quotations, and related solicitation materials
- Review Statements of Work, Statements of Objectives, Performance Work Statements, and supporting documentation
- Prepare, review, and track pre-procurement packages and assigned acquisition actions
- Support administration of contracts, task and delivery orders, BPAs, call orders, and purchase orders
- Support Firm-Fixed-Price, cost-reimbursement, Labor Hour, and Time-and-Materials contracts
- Assist with cost and price analysis, contract modifications, terminations, and closeout activities
- Perform recurring contract administration activities with limited supervision
- Research and resolve acquisition issues, identify discrepancies, and provide findings and recommendations
- Prepare contract actions in Government acquisition and contract writing systems
- Maintain accurate acquisition files, trackers, and supporting documentation
- Coordinate with Contracting Officers, CORs, program offices, contractors, and other acquisition stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or applicable education/experience equivalency as specified by the contract requirements
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant federal contracting or acquisition experience
- Demonstrated experience performing federal acquisition functions at the mid-level
- Working knowledge of the FAR and federal procurement processes
- Hands-on experience with FAR Subpart 8.4, FAR Parts 12, 13, 37, and 43, and FAR 4.804
- Experience with Firm-Fixed-Price, cost-reimbursement, Labor Hour, and Time-and-Materials contracts
- Knowledge of cost/price analysis and ability to assist with related analysis
- Ability to independently analyze assigned acquisition actions and provide meaningful feedback and recommendations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online research tools
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Public Trust determination
Preferred Qualifications
- FAC-C Professional or other relevant federal acquisition training or certification
- PRISM or comparable federal contract writing system experience
- Previous federal civilian agency acquisition support experience
