Job description
You will be part of the Middleware (“MDW”) group, which is responsible for administering the middleware platform and supporting and integrating applications that use this platform.
Responsibilities
Manage the Docker GTS platform (UCP and kube) in Paris and America;
Provide production support outside of working hours and on weekends, and be able to manage call alerts;
Provide on-call support as part of follow-the-sun support for Paris and Asia systems;
Provide advice and best practices to the team's customers;
Help implement and update team standards (installation, best practices, etc.);
Contribute to the API factory for container lifecycle provisioning and automation (including the Docker part);
Be process-oriented and able to implement a common set of standards, methods, and procedures used for all container work, as well as recommend upgrade paths for software and hardware.
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience with Docker/Openshift/k8s;
Scripting skills (shell, Python, etc.);
Knowledge of the Unix environment;
French and English language skills (written and/or spoken);
Customer-oriented, able to work independently while interacting with different teams to complete projects, and must be detail-oriented;
Willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies;
Self-motivated and a team player;
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral;
Experience working in a 24/7 environment;
Experience working with distributed teams;
Experience in operational management;
Familiarity with the ITIL process.
Excellent communication skills in French and English. The ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will be required to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners located outside Quebec.
