We are looking for a Middle/Senior Full-Stack Developer with strong Python/Django and SQL expertise to help develop and maintain a web application for migrating reporting functionality from Oracle APEX.
Our client is a leading Ukrainian bank undergoing significant digital transformation. The team is working on modernizing reporting solutions and migrating existing reporting functionality from Oracle APEX to a Python/Django-based web application. The role combines backend and frontend development with database analysis, reporting, dashboard development, and performance optimization.
Responsibilities:- Analyze existing Oracle APEX reports, dashboards, SQL queries, and business logic.
- Develop and maintain backend functionality using Python and Django.
- Develop web interfaces using Django Templates, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Build interactive dashboards, tables, charts, and calculated metrics.
- Implement data filtering, search, sorting, grouping, and pagination.
- Develop report generation and export functionality in XLSX, CSV, and PDF formats.
- Migrate and implement user roles, authentication, authorization, and access control for reports and data.
- Analyze and optimize SQL queries and overall application performance.
- Connect Django applications to Oracle Database and work with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- Validate migrated functionality and ensure data consistency between Oracle APEX and the Django application.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs, preferably using Django REST Framework.
- Document implemented functionality and support further development of the solution.
- Strong Python skills and hands-on experience developing web applications with Django.
- Commercial experience with Django backend and frontend development.
- Strong knowledge of Django ORM and experience optimizing database queries.
- Solid SQL skills and practical experience with Oracle Database.
- Good understanding of PL/SQL.
- Experience analyzing Oracle APEX applications, reports, dashboards, SQL queries, and business logic.
- Experience integrating Django with Oracle Database, preferably using python-oracledb.
- Experience developing interactive dashboards, tables, charts, filters, and calculated metrics.
- Strong HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills.
- Experience implementing search, sorting, filtering, grouping, and pagination.
- Experience with data visualization libraries such as Chart.js, Apache ECharts, or similar.
- Experience generating and exporting reports in XLSX, CSV, and PDF formats.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, role-based access control, and data access restrictions.
- Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
- Experience optimizing web application performance and SQL queries for large datasets.
- Experience with Git.
- Experience with Django REST Framework.
- Experience with PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Oracle APEX migration or modernization projects.
