IDT is looking for a Middle QA Automation Engineer to join the team running a global payment service for all IDT divisions.
The service is called IDTPay. It supports all card and bank payments of B2B and B2C services and company applications with a hundreds of millions of dollars turnover.
IDT Pay is PCI compliant. It works with various payment processors such as Stripe and AWP, as well other payment systems and directly with banks in the USA. And this is not the limit!
We are looking for a person who'll help us to support the current QA level in the team and improve it.
You gain strong automation experience with Java. Work with load testing. And have a chance to build an AI pipeline using Claude.
In this role you will:
Work with the Scrum Team to understand new features.
Translate user stories into working test plans and test cases to ensure adequate test scope.
Ensure that the test case(s) created are detailed and automation-ready.
Analyze test results to ensure correct functionality and interact with the team to resolve defects.
Ensure the testing-related documentation (e.g., JIRA and confluence pages) is complete.
Responsibilities:
Execute and maintain automated and functional tests for web user interfaces (UI), SOAP services, and REST APIs.
Design and execute test cases based on user stories and acceptance criteria in BDD format.
Collaborate in the execution of non-functional tests, including load testing and performance analysis.
Identify, report, and track defects and tasks throughout the software testing lifecycle.
Work with code repositories and assist in running automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
Perform data consistency and persistence validations across databases.
Review system logs to diagnose failures and support root-cause error analysis.
Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies and agile development team dynamics.
Requirements:
Solid understanding of QA processes and Agile methodologies (Scrum).
Hands-on experience in test case design, creation, and management using AllureTestOps, as well as issue tracking in Jira.
Experience in web user interface (UI) test automation using Selenium.
Experience in validating and automating REST APIs using REST Assured and Postman, alongside SOAP service testing via SoapUI.
Experience developing test scripts under a BDD approach using Gherkin, Cucumber, Java, and TestNG.
Knowledge or practical experience in executing load and performance tests using K6.
Experience managing and querying NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB.
Experience handling code repositories with GitHub and familiarity with executing pipelines in Jenkins.
Familiarity or foundational understanding of cloud environments and infrastructure for applications deployed on AWS (Amazon Web Services).
Experience reviewing, auditing, and analyzing system logs using Splunk.
