Middle Office Sr. Associate – Private Equity

The Middle Office Private Equity team is responsible for investigating all Private Equity statements that are sent to HSV from external parties & performing checks to ensure accuracy of information booked. Acting as a support to internal teams, all while looking to grow service offerings to clients as we continue to expand the scope of this team.

A successful candidate will assume considerable responsibility within six to twelve months, serving as a central point of contact for NAV & MO teams on PE transactions, assisting with on-boarding new clients with the guidance of senior team members, and participating in cross-team projects all being possibilities. 

Role Responsibilities:

• Responsible for participating in various initiatives and projects within Middle Office Private Equity. Take a lead role in increasing efficiency and minimize risk

• Assist in calculating and processing capital calls, capital distributions and statements for closed-end funds

• Work with the client & internal teams to ensure daily reconciliation breaks due to activity are verified efficiently to mitigate risk and meet deliverables

• Converse and liaise with internal service departments to resolve issues

• Provide support of best practice for reflection of actions for Nav/MO/Treasury. This may include consulting on process’s & suggesting enhancements

• Analysis of existing PE process’s completed across client teams for Development Initiatives

• Hybrid working arrangements – may be required to spend time working in the office as well as working from home

Pre-Requisite Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in a Private Equity or Middle office/NAV role 

• Industry platform knowledge: familiarity with reviewing Private Equity statements (capital calls & distributions)

• Exposure to various financial products such as Equities, Bonds, Real Estate & Fund of Funds

• Intermediate level of Excel is required 

• Clear and persuasive communicators, who can articulate their actions, identify root causes, and suggest improved ideas

• Ability to positively influence team morale

• Ability to be flexible and work effectively both within a team structure and independently
