We are looking for a motivated and passionate Middle DevOps Engineer to join our growing Data Platform development team. The ideal candidate should be a self-driven, detail-oriented, and solution-focused engineer with a strong foundation in Cloud Infrastructure, automation and container orchestration, and a strong desire to learn and grow within a collaborative environment.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the Kyriba Data Platform.  This role require strong experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and a passion for infrastructure automation and cloud-native technologies. Experience with databases, data pipelines and data warehouses is a big plus. You will work closely with Cloud Engineering Operations, Product Developers, Product Owners and Customer Support on new architecture and feature introductions.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure in AWS

• Develop, test and maintain Kyriba Data Platform infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, Chef and other tools

• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications

• Identify relevant business metrics and implement real time monitoring, alerting, trending and dashboards.

• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of services

• Ensure security and compliance across cloud and container platforms

• Assist in creation and maintenance of the test data environments and test data

• Assist in integrating, deploying and troubleshooting applications in development, testing, and production environments.

• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and troubleshoot issues

• Participate in all the development-related ceremonies (code reviews, SCRUM activities, grooming sessions, etc).

• Continuously improve your skills and knowledge of development tools, techniques, and methodologies.

Education, Experience & Skills:

Required

• B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field

• Intermediate (or upper) level of English.

• 2+ years’ of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure role

• 3+ years’ experience with Linux           

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)

• Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, etc.)

• Solid understanding of Kubernetes (including EKS)

• Proven experience with Terraform for IaC

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions

• Good understanding of monitoring/logging (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, etc.)

• Version control with Git

• Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.

Optional

• Understanding principles of GitOps

• Experience with Helm, Helmfile, ArgoCD

• Basic networking and security concepts in cloud environments

• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef)

• Experience with supporting Databases and Data warehouses

• Experience with automating data and db deployments/upgrades (Liquibase preferred)

• Experience working in a 24X7X365 SaaS environment

• Experience with HIPAA/PHI/GDPR data security and privacy

• Experience working in an Agile environment
