Senior Automation QC: JavaScript

About client:

Our customer is a leading North American online broker. The Automation QA Engineer will work within a Mobile development team. They will create and execute test cases for mobile applications using a combination of manual and automated testing strategies. A commitment to collaborative problem-solving, design, and delivery of a quality product is essential. This individual must be a critical thinker who can efficiently solve problems and work well with a diverse team. The QA Engineer will contribute to team meetings and the overall engineering process. Must be detail-oriented, diligent and coordinate multiple tasks within the team and understand the entire software development life cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Review business requirements to write test cases and test plans 
• Identify and document all levels of testing including functional, integration, user acceptance, and exploratory
• Build and execute automated test cases
• Develop readable and mappable to requirement test scripts according to project approaches
• Keep automated test suite in actual state with necessary and sufficient scope and coverage
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and write up defects with a high level of detail
• Process and technologies discussions to increase test automation value 
• Participate in the Agile ceremonies: story grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective 
• Responsible for communicating daily progress, issues, risks
• Be highly collaborative with test and dev engineers and business partners to deliver the highest quality
• Be self-managed, but identify when escalation is needed

Requirements:

• You have 3+ years in Automation QA 
• experience and a good understanding of Javascript/TypeScript
• experience in decision-making / XP programming
• Ability to work in a team (close collaboration with QA/AQA, developers, customers)
• Experience with GIT and  command line
• You have knowledge of Agile development practices
• You have a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science or another related field
• You have strong analytical & problem-solving skills
• You are result orientedness, take initiative to work effectively within established guidelines
• Experience in mobile automation testing, React Native framework and Detox testing tool (nice to have)
• Upper-Intermediate English level
• Ukrainian language Advanced or higher
