Zact, a leading fintech innovator specializing in cutting-edge payments apps, is hiring a Test Engineer. We’re looking for someone to play a critical role in quality assurance of the product, contributing to the development of our manual and automated testing libraries, and assisting in debugging user-found issues. As your product knowledge expands, you will explore and highlight factors impacting user adoption. Zact is a remote-only workplace. And we are currently hiring in the EU and India time zones.

The Role Requires:

• Building a solid understanding of Zact’s products and features
• Advocating for quality within cross-functional development and product teams
• Investigating and diagnosing product issues, escalating to engineering when necessary
• Improving functional test coverage across our products
• Contributing to the design of test cases and suites
• Reporting bugs and tracking them through the complete bug life cycle
• Designing and coding automated tests as necessary
• Proposing improvements to the existing QA processes and introducing best practices for testing and quality assurance

You may be a good fit if you have:

• Technical Aptitude:
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and an understanding of maintaining a quality mindset in an agile environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with one or more modern programming languages for automating repeated tasks and build automated test coverage.
  • Experience with REST APIs and API testing tools such as Postman for API testing and performance testing.
  • Prior experience with Selenium Web driver or similar frameworks
  • Experience with major UI testing frameworks in at least one of the following domains: web, Android, iOS.
  • Deep understanding of test methodologies, including writing test plans, creating test cases, execution and debugging.
  • Experience with using SQL queries.
• Education: BS/BA degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• Experience: At least 2 to 5 years of experience in manual testing and test automation.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong collaborative skills and the ability to contribute effectively to team members in a variety of time zones.
• Time Management: Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
