We are seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer/Application Developer in Lexington Park, MD, to support the H-60 research, test, and development program.  The job will support the developmental flight test program through program development and data extraction support. As a software engineer/developer, you will work individually or on a small team with flight test engineers. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work with a team lead to define software requirements
  • Design & develop system software for our customers
  • Explore new areas or program in new languages to deliver a complete product
  • Support on-site meetings and deliveries to customers

Basic Qualifications:

  • Clearance & Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have an active Secret Clearance.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (additional experience accepted in lieu of degree)
  • Experience:  Minimum of 4 years of applicable experience, with at least 2 years of software development and/or object-oriented design and programming, ideally including design, coding, and testing experience. Experience with Web Services and JavaScript (e.g., ReactJS). Hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript, and/or C/C++

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Experience with DON related programs
  • Additional Notes: The selected applicant may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week

Basic Compensation: $97,000-$132,000. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
