Role: Mid-Copywriter

About the role:
The Copywriter will need to develop compelling, engaging, and brand-aligned content across a variety of marketing and communication channels. They should be experts in storytelling and writing for a digital audience. As a Copywriter, you'll work closely with designers, strategists, and client teams to produce content across a wide range of formats and platforms. You'll take briefs from ambiguous to articulate, translating complex ideas into copy that serves both the audience and the brand. This is a mid-level role for someone who works with confidence and independence, brings creative rigour to every project, and thrives in a collaborative studio environment.
What you will be doing:
- Write clear, persuasive, and brand-aligned copy across digital and print, including websites, blogs, social media, email campaigns, advertising, brochures, and presentations.
- Interpret client and creative briefs and develop copy solutions that meet brand, campaign, and audience objectives.
- Collaborate with designers, strategists, and client stakeholders to develop integrated campaigns from ideation through to delivery.
- Ensure all content is consistent with the client's brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines across every channel.
- Edit, proofread, and refine copy to uphold accuracy, quality, and brand consistency.
- Contribute ideas and creative thinking during briefings, brainstorms, and campaign development sessions.
- Apply SEO best practices where relevant to improve content visibility and performance.
- Present copy concepts and rationale clearly to internal teams and client stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining quality and meeting agreed deadlines.
- Handle client and internal information with discretion and professionalism at all times.
What you need to be great in this role:
- A strong portfolio demonstrating range across digital and print copywriting, ideally including social, email, web, and advertising formats.
- 4+ years writing in a creative environment
- Proven ability to translate complex or diverse source material into content that engages and resonates with target audiences.
- Solid understanding of digital channels and the creative requirements of each.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a sharp eye for detail and consistency.
- Experience working independently from briefs, as well as collaborating within a wider creative team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a busy studio environment without compromising quality or deadlines.
- Confidence presenting copy and creative rationale to client and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Gen AI tools relevant to copywriting to support output quality and efficiency.
- Experience building personal AI-assisted workflows to improve research, ideation, or drafting.
- Agentic approach to creative problem-solving, being able to break down complex briefs into manageable steps and deliver with focus.
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated content and apply editorial judgement to ensure brand and quality standards are upheld.
