What this role is all about
As a Software Engineer in our Platform Base team at Infobip, you will build and evolve the systems that keep our communication platform observable, scalable, and reliable at global scale. Depending on the team you join, you could work on services that monitor traffic across the entire Infobip platform, enable alerting and service configuration for internal teams, or support high-performance SMS and messaging flows with strict latency and reliability requirements. You will be part of a cross-functional engineering team responsible for backend services that process large volumes of traffic and operational metrics in real time. The role combines software engineering, distributed systems, and operational ownership in an environment where performance, reliability, and continuous improvement are central to daily work.

Build systems that track and process traffic and operational metrics across the Infobip platform
Develop scalable and reliable distributed services with a focus on high throughput and low latency
Contribute to internal tooling used for platform monitoring, alerting, and service configuration management
Work with data-intensive systems and relational databases to aggregate and expose operational insights
Take end-to-end ownership of the solutions you build, including deployment, monitoring, and production support
Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and platform stakeholders to deliver reliable technical solutions
Contribute to engineering discussions, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team
Apply an AI-first mindset when approaching engineering problems
Effectively leverage AI to improve code quality, testing processes, and technical documentation

Experience with monitoring, observability, or alerting systems
Familiarity with messaging, streaming, caching, or event-driven architectures
