Job Description:
The Architecture Consultant brings specific technical knowledge and applies it to the solution development for a specific customer. The Architecture Consultant will participate in the design and development of a technical architecture that will be aligned with the clients business objectives. The Architecture Consultant defines a target goal state and the requirements from the current environment to achieve the goal state. This role will combine technical ability, business acumen, and an excellent understanding of industry standards and technology trends. The Architecture Consultant will be an integral team member, build relationships with clients (both business and IT), and demonstrate architecture concepts and details. The Architecture Consultant may be the Lead Consultant on a project.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
* Experience advising developers and development teams from design through build phase
* Experienced architecting BI solutions using MicroStrategy.
* Experienced leading mixed BI development teams (TD and client)
* This is approximately a 10 week project. The consultant must be willing to stay approximately 3-4 weeks per trip. Anticipate 3 trips total over the 10 week period.
* Exposure to customer householding algorithms and issue
* Capable of advising DBAs and developers on optimizing the physical instantiation of the logical model
* Strong client facing / consulting capabilities
* Knowledge of TD 14.10
* Experienced in communicating and applying TD Best Practices on the use of MicroStrategy
Contractors will be implementing a database to support CIM and extending that database to incorporate core banking data related to Customer, Account (Product), Household and Account Transaction. In addition, the project team will include BoH resources developing ETL and reporting/analytics under TD architectural guidance. Given the strategic nature of the project and a mixed TD/client delivery team, the objective is to staff with experienced, 'A' team staff.
This role is a working architect role. The expectation is that the consultant will be able to make architectural decisions based on the BoH environment and be capable of developing some of the more complex reports and analytics. In addition, the ability to lead a team, allocate work to client resources and provide mentoring on the TD environment is critical.
There will be a requirement to be on-site in Honolulu. Corporate accommodations at a site that is walking distance to the client location (2-3 blocks) will be secured.
Skills Required
- Experience architecting BI solutions using MicroStrategy.
- Knowledge of Teradata (TD) 14.10 and TD Best Practices.
- Experience advising developers and development teams from design through build phases.
- Experience leading mixed BI development teams (vendor and client resources).
- Ability to advise DBAs and developers on optimizing physical instantiation of logical models.
- Exposure to customer householding algorithms and related issues.
- Strong client-facing consulting and team leadership capabilities, including mentoring and work allocation.
- Ability to make architectural decisions and develop complex reports and analytics in a working architect role.
- Willingness and ability to be on-site in Honolulu for multi-week trips (approximately 3 trips, 3-4 weeks each).
- Experience implementing/extending databases to support CIM and core banking data (Customer, Account, Household, Transactions).
