Job Description

The Microsoft Sales Specialist is a senior sales role responsible for driving Microsoft-related revenue growth across aligned accounts and industries. The role partners closely with NCS Account Executives, Microsoft ATU and STU teams, and internal practices to originate, qualify, and close opportunities that deliver strong TCV, revenue, margin, and customer outcomes.

The Sales Specialist brings deep Microsoft ecosystem expertise, leads Microsoft GTM motions, and owns the end-to-end Microsoft sales lifecycle, from opportunity origination through to deal closure and handover.

Qualifications

Account Planning & Growth

  • Co-own account planning and portfolio strategy with Account Executives, embedding Microsoft Practice priorities and GTM motions into account plans.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships focused on solution value, growth, and long-term partnership.
  • Actively manage account health and customer satisfaction in collaboration with Account Executives.
  • Input Microsoft industry and solution expertise into account strategies and opportunity shaping.

Revenue & Pipeline Ownership

  • Be accountable for Microsoft TCV, revenue, margin, and growth attainment within the aligned industry portfolio.
  • Own Microsoft sales origination, building a healthy, qualified pipeline aligned to targets.
  • Lead opportunity qualification, win strategies, pricing approaches, and win themes.
  • Maintain high standards of opportunity hygiene, ensuring pipeline accuracy and quality.

Microsoft Ecosystem Leadership

  • Develop and maintain strong Microsoft ATU and STU relationships, at a seller and management level.
  • Represent NCS capabilities effectively within Microsoft, positioning replicable examples of our success, and joint customer engagements.
  • Identify potential opportunities for Microsoft co-sell registration, funding motions, and incentive programs.

Sales Execution & Deal Leadership

  • Own the Microsoft sales cycle, drawing on the Solutions Office as appropriate to progress opportunities.
  • Personally lead opportunities where appropriate, driving to successful closure.
  • Contribute to RFx responses, including Microsoft case studies, references, and value propositions.
  • Define and execute opportunity close plans, working closely with Account Executives.

Marketing & Demand Generation

  • Identify and drive GTM campaigns and events aligned to Microsoft priorities and customer demand for your industry focus.
  • Work closely with others on campaign and event execution, ensuring strong lead follow-up and conversion.

Engagement & Handover

  • Participate in internal and customer kick-off meetings to ensure a smooth transition from sales to delivery.
  • Support early engagement activities where required to protect commercial intent and customer outcomes.

Sales Presence and Leadership

  • Be present at NCS and Microsoft offices for a minimum of 2 to 3 days per week, meeting with Microsoft and customers in person and contributing to our own positive culture.
