As a Microsoft Fabric Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and developing data warehouse, Lakehouse solutions for Accellor’s clients, using Microsoft Fabric and other Microsoft Technologies. You will work closely with data analysts, data engineers and other stakeholders to ensure that the solutions we design and implement are optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability. You will design and implement solutions appropriate to the needs of the client and in accordance with industry best practice (such as following the ‘medallion’ architecture pattern). Your expertise in data warehousing, data integration and Microsoft Fabric will be crucial in delivering successful data solutions to Accellor clients.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience as a Data Platform Architect, with demonstrated expertise in designing, managing, and optimizing data warehouses, lakes, and lakehouses.
  • Proficiency with data storage formats such as Parquet, ORC, and AVRO, as well as storage layers like Delta Lake and other transactional storage solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of data technologies, including Databricks, Snowflake, and similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and other analytics tools.
  • Experience with data integration and ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Talend, Ab Initio, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar data platforms.
  • Advanced SQL skills and solid expertise in database design principles.
  • Experience in data modeling, particularly in data warehouse and lakehouse design.
  • Knowledge of the Azure Cloud Platform, especially in relation to data warehousing and storage solutions.
  • Background in data integration and engineering, including familiarity with data pipelines and storage optimization.
  • Strong grasp of data governance, data security, and compliance requirements.
  • Problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Microsoft certifications in data-related fields are preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data warehouse and lakehouse solutions using Microsoft Fabric and related technologies, leveraging storage formats like Parquet, ORC, and AVRO, and storage layers such as Delta Lake.
  • Architect solutions that incorporate BI tools like Power BI and Tableau, ensuring seamless data integration for analytics and reporting.
  • Develop and deploy data integration solutions, including data ingestion, transformation, and delivery to consumers within Microsoft Fabric, while utilizing optimal storage formats and layers.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across the data warehouse ecosystem by crafting robust solution designs.
  • Collaborate closely with data analysts, architects, engineers, and client stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Microsoft Fabric solutions that support analytics and reporting via BI tools.
  • Partner with Accellor’s data governance experts to implement data governance best practices, including data security, privacy, and compliance.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation covering Data Fabric architecture, processes, and procedures.
  • Stay updated with advancements in data platform technologies, particularly Microsoft Fabric, and reflect these innovations in solution designs.
