Job Description:
The Microsoft Azure Cloud Engineer will provide Azure engineering support to Operations and IT teams globally at ESAB. This is a hands-on technical role focused on building, implementing, and supporting cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
In this role, you will not only execute but also contribute to solution design and optimization efforts, working closely with architects and senior engineers. You will help implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
What you will do
- Build, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of Azure solutions aligned with architecture patterns and standards.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and deployments.
- Support performance tuning, reliability improvements, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Assist in cloud modernization efforts using automation, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and modern deployment methodologies.
- Participate in design discussions and provide input on improving system scalability, security, and efficiency.
- Maintain documentation for architecture, configurations, and operational processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud adoption and project delivery.
What we are looking for
- 3–4 years of experience in Azure/cloud engineering or infrastructure roles
- Experience supporting and implementing complex Cloud Migration and integration projects.
- Understanding of integration technologies like SAP S4HANA migrations
- Exposure to cloud cost management and optimization concepts
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Technical Skills
- Experience in Azure DR, backup, Azure Copy, public cloud networking, storage, Automation Accounts, Runbooks, Webhooks, Azure Monitor, Alert Management, Update management, log Analytics and Azure Operations Management.
- Skilled in Azure App Service, Topics, Service Principles, Event Hubs, Azure Key Vault, and large-scale blob storage.
- Experience working with Azure PaaS/Serverless technologies like WebApp’s, Azure functions, Azure Redis Cache, Service Fabric, logic app & Apps Service plans
- Skilled with implementation and configurating Native Azure API Management gateway
- Working experience in managing and optimizing Azure SQL and SQL Access Management.
- Skilled experience with administrating Microsoft Windows and Linux Operating system
- Practical implementation with Azure Authentication (AAD) and authorization protocols (RBAC, PBAC & ABAC)
- Configuring and administering network technologies, DHCP and DNS
• Proficient in scripting with PowerShell, ARM Templates, Terraform and Bash.
• Good understanding of IT security and IT compliance.

Education Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in relevant field
Preferred
- Exposure to cloud migration or transformation projects
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms (e.g., SAP environments)
- Understanding of security, compliance, and governance in cloud environments
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
