Job Description SummaryUnder the general direction of Administrative Director of the Laboratory and in conjunction with chief of pathology, is responsible for supervising the daily operation of the Second/Third Shift section of the laboratory. Will participate in committees pertaining to Second/Third Shift. All duties will be performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards and will comply with all criteria mandated by appropriate accrediting and licensing agencies.

Minimum Education

  • Baccalaureate degree in relevant sciences such as medical technology, biology, or chemistry

Minimum Work Experience

  • Minimum five years laboratory experience and one year supervisory experience preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications

  • Medical Technologist certification (ASCP or equivalent) preferred
  • Specialty registration preferred
