Biologist

Responsibilities:

·         To prepare laboratory testing according to assigned work area using consistently good techniques based in the validate methods established at microbiology laboratory ss:

·         Bioburden testing to finished product, water and incoming material and to have knowledge on the identification test of organisms using the microscope.

·         LAL testing to finished product, water and incoming material.

·         Chemistry testing to incoming material, compounding, solvents and EO residual

·         Environmental testing to manufacturing clean room areas.

·         Knowledge of the medium preparation and reagents used in the Laboratory Areas.

·         Knowledge of the Sterilization and Depyrogenation Process.

·         Knowledge about qualification and verification of population counts on biological indicators and preparation samples.

·         Knowledge of the cleaning practices and good laboratory practices.

·         Review, prepare and file the records in order to comply with good documentation practices.

·         Review all results y documentation generated by the testing for completeness and accuracy.

·         Provide assistance in special projects (validations, studies and qualification) as required.   

Qualifications:

·         BS degree in Biology or Science. Knowledge of standard laboratory methods and techniques.

·         Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred, at least 70%

·         Good interpersonal skills.

·         Proactive.

·         Computer knowledge (Microsoft Office programs).
