Pharmathen offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to recruit a Microbiological Lab Analyst to join our team at our Pallini premises.

As a Microbiological Lab Analyst, the ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting microbiological tests that support the release of intermediates and finished products. These include routine and non-routine microbiological tests on in-process and final container products, as well as environmental monitoring samples. This position also contributes to the completion of routine technical tasks.


Requirements

What you will do:

More particularly:

  • Participate in the decentralized Peer Review Model by performing analytical testing and reviewing peers’ analytical data, according to assigned responsibilities and business needs
  • Perform testing of samples, including in-process product samples, raw materials, and environmental monitoring (EM) samples
  • Conduct sterility testing of finished products and raw materials
  • Ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation of all test results and laboratory records
  • Maintain daily sample logs to ensure proper tracking and timely completion of testing activities
  • Conduct laboratory investigations and communicate results when test outcomes fall outside established specifications (OOS)
  • Support supplier and contract laboratory audits as part of the vendor certification program

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Minimum an BSc Degree in Microbiology or relevant field
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in a similar role

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Excellent communication in English language (writing & speaking)
  • Competent in microbiological laboratory instrumentation
  • Strong problem solving skills
