Job Description Summary (Role: Individual Contributor)
The Financial System/SWIFT Manager is responsible for all SWIFT initiatives and projects. Candidate will lead all development and production work for Volante used to generate and analyze SWIFT and Fedwire messages. This person is responsible for leading the implementation of all SWIFT software and hardware patches and managing all vendor relationships related to these applications. Managers act as the left security officer for all SWIFT-related cybersecurity programs and user access.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Assist in architecture & design for new business integrations as well as third party onboarding thru the SWIFT Shared Infrastructure Program.
- Work with global team which provides 24/7 monitoring & support for all payment related activity for CME and client businesses. This team is also responsible for all SWIFT & FED messages generation & parsing via Volante.
- Directs the onboarding of any new business that wants to use SWIFT. Promotes new client sales of Shared Infrastructure Program and maintains relationships to ensure excellent service is provided and that the business continues to grow and profit.
- Coordinates with GIS on all cyber-security related initiatives such as the SWIFT Customer Service Program and FSARC industry group.
- Represent CME, initiate meetings and maintain relationships across the global payments industry to ensure CME is prepared and can weigh-in on any new payment initiatives. Bring this info back to leadership team so CME can properly position themselves to always be competitive in the market and be prepared for any type of disruption.
- Responsible for managing release schedules for all new implementations and changes related to SWIFT, Fed, Volante.
- Alerting & Resolving Client SWIFT Message and connection Issues (<30-minute response SLA).
- Overseeing & Collaborating SWIFT Infrastructure Patch Maintenance (done after hours & on Weekends)
- Enhancement projects including GPI, Alliance Lifeline, Training & Onboarding, Database Recovery, ISO20022
- CRT Enhancement and Testing - helping to build out the Collateral Reconciliation Tool
- Monitoring & tracking all SWIFT related Pricing, Billing and Collection (both internal & external)
- RMA and CSP maintenance & annual audit of all counterparties
- Work closely with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the swift system.
- Maintain documentation of processes, procedures, and best practices related to Swift Operations.

Skills and Qualification:
- Master’s degree in business, finance, operation or in equivalent field
- 7-10 years’ experience in Swift/ Payment operation preferably in a clearing & settlement or Investment Banking environment
- Strong understanding of Swift messaging standards and protocols.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
