JOB DESCRIPTION
SW Product Mgr -- Manages the end‑to‑end lifecycle of software features and products that power our capital equipment platforms and customer workflows. Translate customer needs and business objectives into a clear roadmap, precise product requirements, and disciplined execution in partnership with Engineering, Marketing, SQA, Advanced Manufacturing, and Product Support.
- Build and maintain a customer‑backed, outcomes‑oriented roadmap aligned to business strategy, revenue targets, and platform constraints.
- Prioritize features using value vs. effort, risk, and quality impacts; make trade‑off calls that protect schedule and elevate customer value.
- Define product positioning, differentiation, and success criteria across new features and sustaining improvements.
- Plan releases with cross functional teams; balance capacity, dependencies, and risks.
- Own and initiate limited field rollout plans (pilot/beta), define entry/exit criteria, and document Go/No‑Go decisions for General Availability.
- Facilitate alignment across Product Marketing, Hardware and Software Engineering, SQA, Field Service, and Product Support.
- Prepare and deliver executive updates on roadmap, risks, and outcomes; ensure RACI clarity for key decisions and handoffs.
- Coordinate with Product Marketing on launch artifacts, demos, pricing/packaging, and customer education.

U.S. BASE SALARY RANGE
$109,922.56 - $164,883.84This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations.
Our salary ranges are determined by role and level; individual pay is determined based on
multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work
location, and internal equity. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as
you develop within the role.
Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the
Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regular
employees working 20+ hours a week).
