Callaway Golf is seeking a Manager, Retention Marketing to lead strategies that drive customer retention, reactivation, and engagement—primarily through our email channel, but also extending into SMS and emerging platforms. This role is responsible for ideating, executing, and optimizing data-driven programs that increase repeat purchase rates and customer lifetime value.

We are looking for a marketing leader with direct experience with outbound marketing (email, SMS, or push), a high degree of comfort with data, an analytical & inquisitive mindset, and a strong desire to build a relationship with Callaway’s current and future customers. Candidates should also exhibit the intellectual curiosity required to stay on top of intra-company and industry trends and to apply best practices to our business. 

This is a highly cross-functional role with exposure to senior leadership and strategic initiatives across ecommerce, CRM, analytics, and digital experience.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead the development, execution, and performance of retention-focused campaigns including lifecycle, triggered, and promotional email programs.

  • Own the experimentation roadmap—design A/B tests, interpret results, and scale what works.

  • Define and evolve segmentation frameworks that support a personalized, customer-first experience.

  • Collaborate across marketing, creative, product, ecommerce, and analytics teams to drive alignment and impact.

  • Establish a performance reporting cadence: track KPIs, analyze trends, and deliver actionable insights to internal stakeholders and leadership.

  • Manage and mentor a small team; foster a high-performance, growth-minded culture.

  • Oversee key vendor relationships and tech integrations. 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) 

  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, segmentation strategy, and campaign performance reporting.

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Familiarity with Customer Data Platforms (e.g., ActionIQ, Segment, Salesforce CDP).

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to understand, interpret, and enforce corporate policies. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in online marketing, including a minimum of 3 years’ experience with email marketing.  

  • 2+ years of experience managing or mentoring direct reports.

  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, segmentation strategy, and campaign performance reporting.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to influence across levels and teams.

  • Detail-oriented and inquisitive, with a passion for optimization and innovation.

  • Preferred: SMS experience  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT (if applicable) 

  • Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment. 

  • Extensive use of office equipment, including computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business-related machines and software. 

  • Regularly required to work at computer 3+ hours per day. 

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands to perform typing and grasping. 

  • Frequently required to bend at the neck. 

  • Occasionally required travel in the U.S. (15% - 25%) 

  • Occasionally required to travel to corporate or industry events. 

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or carry up to twenty-five pounds, regularly lift and/or carry up to fifty pounds. 

  • Specific abilities required by this job are the ability to distinguish colors, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
