Purpose Statement: The Planning Manager will drive collaboration across the overall Plexus value stream. Coordinating and directing resources based upon balancing customer demand requirements and feasibility to achieve Customer Service Excellence and Operational Goals.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the competence, training and development of the Planning team, and ensure the functional teams adhere to SOP and Work Instructions.
- Facilitate collaborative processes with key functional teams (i.e. Materials, Production, Program Management, and Finance) that drive operational excellence.
- Support Demand Management and Planning processes related to Capacity Planning and Sales, Inventory, Operations & Planning.
- Manage and provide oversight and direction to the planning team to ensure the coordination and development to of a master production schedule that optimizes customer satisfaction, days of inventory and supports the site revenue plan.
- Responsible to exemplify and hold their team accountable to demonstrating the Plexus Core Values. Leader will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 8 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
Other Qualifications:
- Employee must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Employee must possess good written and oral communication, organizational and troubleshooting skills.
- The ability to take a proactive approach, and take ownership for all activities related to the success of the Focus Factory in order to ensure successful operations.
- Employee must work safely at all times and maintain confidentiality of all company and customer information.
- Must have computer experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and the ability to learn Plexus Data Collection and MRP/ERP systems.
