As a Management Reporting Analyst at OCBC, you'll play a critical role in delivering timely, accurate and insightful performance analysis to support management decision-making and strategy execution. To excel in this role, you'll need a strong understanding of banking products, accounting standards and industry trends. You will work closely with business and finance teams to improve reporting, data quality and decision-making. What you do
-Monthly/ quarterly reporting of the Group and Business performance to senior management on a timely basis.
-Analyse business performance, monitor key financial metrics against budget and forecasts, identify trends and variances, and translate findings into actionable management insights.
-Incorporate outward-looking perspectives such as peer comparison with other banks.
-Deliver on ad hoc assignments to support business initiatives, strategic projects, and management requests.
-Prepare and deliver management reporting materials and presentations for senior management.
-Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools to clearly communicate financial performance.
-Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve on reporting, processes, data quality and controls.
-Partner businesses to understand strategic priorities, provide performance insights, challenge assumptions and advise on financial issues and queries.
-Leverage data analytics, automation and AI tools to improve reporting efficiency, enhance insight generation, and identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities.
Who you are
-A degree in Accounting or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in finance and accounting
-Professional certification in accounting (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA) is desirable
-Strong proficiency in MS Excel, MS Power-point, Power BI and data visualisation tools. Experience in developing reporting dashboards would be advantageous.
-Demonstrates curiosity and willingness to leverage digital capabilities, automation and AI tools to improve productivity, reporting quality and decision-making.
-Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
-Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
-Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect financial performance to business drivers and strategic outcomes.
