JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Manager is responsible for directing the day-to-day activities supporting certain aspects of the JLG Finance function. Specific accounting responsibilities include ensuring the accurate and timely recording of AFS Credit and Financing, Bad Debt reserves, PPE and related fixed assets transactions, Lease accounting, revenue recognition related to cloud-based services, and other duties as may be assigned. The position will also be responsible for GL accounting support, including systems and specific monthly close related responsibilities. The Accounting Manager will also be responsible for ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures in support of the Global Controllership function.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
- Support Controllership team in the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process.
- Provide US GAAP guidance on accounting transactions.
- Identify and support continuous improvement projects while leveraging Continuous Improvement Management System (CIMS) tools and concepts; drive advanced analysis in assigned business areas and develop innovative solutions that save time and resources.
- Support Corporate processes, such as Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR), and work with outside departments to enable efficient and timely completion of requests.
- Champion the Oshkosh People First competencies to engage, develop, and connect team members including direct report.
- Maintain specific GL accounting responsibilities, account reconciliations, and related analysis.
- Maintain related internal controls, process narratives and other value stream documentation.
- Maintain accounting system back-up role to support the Global Controllership team.
- Partner with internal and external customers to lead and grow the business; drive analysis is assigned areas and prepare monthly results for management. Interact with other departments on complex business issues that impact financial projections. Manage budgets and provide annual support to cross-functional teams during the budgeting cycle and in periodic monthly reviews.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

8-10 plus years related experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
