Lead plant-level supply chain operations to optimize inventory, production scheduling, purchasing, warehousing and distribution. Drive cost efficiency, safety, quality, and reliability; coach staff, coordinate new-product production, manage budgets, support SQF food-safety systems, and partner cross-functionally to eliminate waste and ensure on-time customer fulfillment.

Monitor and streamline procedures for production, purchasing, product configuration, warehousing, distribution and financial forecasting. Direct the movement, storage and processing of inventory with focus on most efficient levels for the entire Kroger supply chain. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and our Customer 1st strategy. - Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
- Network with Kroger material supply managers to incorporate best practices and lead innovative synergies
- Partner with merchandizing and sales planning to optimize production and procurement activity for customer requirements
- Master PRISM inventory control software and advocate its use for inventory accuracy
- Manage ordering of all ingredients, packaging materials and all purchased finished goods to satisfy production requirements
- Manage production scheduling process to optimize customer service, working capital and reliability
- Develop processes/procedures to foster continuous improvement and accountability between departments within team and with external suppliers
- Help establish and manage finished goods and raw material budgets
- Coordinate production for all new products introduced
- Manage inventory and supply of out-sourced finished good items from vendors sold by the plant
- Provide commodity, ingredient, and packaging buyers with timely projections on requested items
- Provide Marketing with information on slow-moving items and work to eliminate product going out of date
- Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
- Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF Systems
- Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles
- Must be able to work around ingredients and/or finished products known to contain food allergens
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Qualifications

Minimum
- Bachelor's Degree logistics or related field or equivalent experience 
- 4+ years of supply chain management experience in the food industry
- Strong planning, organizational, and prioritizing skills
- Proficient Microsoft office skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to foster collaborative working relationships
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skill
- Ability to synthesize complex information, identify data relationships and dependencies, and design workflows and procedures
Desired
- 6+ years of related experience in the food industry dealing with supply chain management (pay level 9)
- Understanding of integrated planning systems; Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) (pay level 10)
- Strong background in food processing and packaging (pay level 10)

Skills Required
