The Metrics Management Lead is a dual-role position responsible or both the development, organization, and dissemination of knowledge assets within GTA and the continuous improvement of operational processes through metrics management. This role focuses on driving data-informed and continuous improvements across teams using Operation Science techniques. The ideal candidate will have expertise in knowledge management, process improvement, and metrics analysis with strong communication skills to support cross-functional collaboration.

The Metrics Management Lead is a professional who embraces Operations Science to drive continuous improvement across assigned areas.
Operations Science is the process management technique of applying various improvement tools (control charts, pareto charts, improvements plans, etc..) to continuously improve any operations.


The 5 Steps of Operations Science:

  • Define the process
  • Measure the process
  • Analyze the process
  • Improve the process
  • Control the process

Metrics Drive Behavior and Behavior Drives Results -- stated another way “you must inspect what you expect”.  By focusing on the right metrics and aligning resources toward improving them, you instill the proper behavior patterns and will over time achieve the desired results.


The Metrics Management Lead will work cross functionally to define the key, core metrics for each operational team and build the metric reporting that will be used to identify the projects required to deliver quantifiable service quality / service performance improvements.  This is a continuous loop meaning that as we deliver on our metric goals, we will continuously raise the bar.

  • Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.
  • Innovation - Displays original thinking and creativity; meets challenges with resourcefulness; generates suggestions for improving work; develops innovative approaches and ideas; presents ideas and information in a manner that gets others’ attention.
  • Organizational Support - Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on-time; supports organization's goals and values; benefits organization through outside activities; supports affirmative action and respects diversity.
  • Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; keeps commitments; accountable for decisions and actions, commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals; completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
  • Technical skills - business acumen, and ability to collect data and present in a manner that enables action

This is what you need to have:

  • Four years of college resulting in a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in business acumen, metrics analysis, and the ability to analyze and present data in a manner that drives actionable insights
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to provide insights for multiple data sets
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Regular, punctual, and consistent attendance
  • Must have and maintain current driver license
  • Must be able to work any shift and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary to meet the needs and goals of the business
