Job Summary/Description:  

FOX5, KVVU Las Vegas, is looking for an experienced meteorologist. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated depth of experience in accurate weather forecasting and severe weather coverage on air and on digital platforms.

Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

- Analyze cutting-edge scientific data, models, and all available relevant information to craft accurate and reliable weather forecasts.
- Deliver engaging and conversational weather presentations across all platforms, including broadcast, streaming, digital, and social media, ensuring our audience is always informed and prepared.
- Identify and articulate the "weather story of the day," translating complex meteorological information into clear, concise, and impactful narratives for a cross-platform audience.
- Accurately forecast and track severe weather events, providing timely and life-saving information to the community.
- Effectively communicate short and long-range weather insights to the editorial staff, facilitating proactive planning and seamless news integration.
- Conceptualize and create dynamic weather graphics, leveraging data from various meteorological sources to present engaging and easy-to-understand forecasts.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- An ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience as a broadcast and digital meteorologist. No beginners.
- The successful applicant's background must include, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree in meteorology or the equivalent.
