Metcash Sales Operations Analyst

As the Metcash Sales operations Analyst and a part of our Impulse Channel team, you’ll help shape the way we support our customers, streamline processes, and bring our iconic brands to life across Independent retail partners. Reporting to the Impulse Channel Customer Director, you’ll own and lead the management of the Metcash Outstanding Deductions Register (ODR) — making sure every claim is processed with accuracy, speed, and in line with KPI targets. You’ll be the glue between our Metcash/Independents Team, Finance, and Accounts Receivables, ensuring trade spend governance, claim validation, and accrual maintenance are world-class.
 

You’ll also help us evolve — from driving efficiency projects that streamline how we manage claims and accruals, to representing the team in key forums like Trade Rate meetings, Impulse Ops catch-ups, and cross-functional planning sessions.

• Strong Analytical skills & Attention to Detail
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including ability to analyse large volumes of data, simplify, and drive insight to action
• The ability to problem solve, process map, and find resolution to issues in a timely manner
• Strong communicator including ability to listen well, simplify the complex, set direction and targets and keep others on course
• A team player who loves working in an engaged, purpose led team.
   

What will be your key responsibilities? 

• Build powerful, mutual relationships across the Metcash account team, Finance, and Accounts Receivable
• Own the Metcash ODR: process claims, validate spend, close accruals, and escalate disputes when needed
• Be the go-to for Promax PX, ensuring accurate maintenance and supporting the team in planning and submissions
• Drive reporting on trade accruals and claims performance, helping us turn insight into action
• Jump in to support on Metcash Customer Planning Days, Expo events, and internal team engagement moments, as well as other administrative activities.
